Somebody Please Get Rid of These People!

The complete and total confusion, switcheroo, and just overall donkery of the Bush administration and this recockulous bailout plan continues. And lookie there, the market is tanking again as a result of all the back-and-forth....What a futher mucking shock! Six weeks ago, buying the troubled mortgage assets of our nation's financial institutions wasn't just an idea that was being kicked around by a few people. It was absolutely, positively, vital to keeping the U.S. out of the economic abyss. Now today: "Oh yeah, we changed our minds again!" Fucking fools. I wrote a month ago or so about the absolute, cold, hard fact that confusion and flim-flamming by market regulators and overseers creates panic and fear in the stock market. That wasn't an opinion then, and it still isn't an opinion now.

Facts are facts.

I am speechless. Yes, me. Totally and completely speechless. To think that this administration could still be getting markedly worse by the day, given the depths to which it has plunged already, is truly unthinkable.

Man, it is so tough being right all the time.

Consumer spending is down! Retailers are in trouble! They should have been buying stakes in the banks all along!

Surprisingly, this news:

http://money.cnn.com/2008/11/11/news/companies/general_growth/index.htm?postversion=2008111115

didn't make the cut.

The only thing I was wrong about was the timing. I expected the retail collapse to show up after the holidays, but these are boulders being pushed down the mountain, not just pebbles.

Say hello to commercial mortgage defaults! Retail job losses!

And Bush still has a few days left to fuck up royally, and a month left to ATTEMPT getting a few more things in.

Okay, I'll put my horn away now.

I wonder if Bush is still thinking he will get positive reviews somewhere down the road. He was hoping to get history to show how great a president he was, ala Truman.

In an op-ed piece from August of last year in the National Review, Karl Rove [I am shuttering] talked about how he believes Bush will be view in the future. I'm almost positive, this administration really believes this crap.

When the nation needed decisive leadership, we got this mess. A leader, a good one, would work tireless to both calm the fears and find a solution. He appears to only know how to throw spaghetti at the wall and see if it sticks.

Nope. Slid right down. Just like the pee running down his leg.

I'm so glad I never once voted for him. At least I get to say I told you so as my 403B goes in the toilet.
